Mentor Introductory Calls

Program Managers (PMs) must plan for and complete an Introductory Call with all mentors at the start of both 11th and 12th grade.  These conversations look slightly based on whether the mentor is newly matched or continuing into the second year of their relationship.

Setting Up a Call Scheduling System

Microsoft Bookings is a scheduling tool that gives mentors the ability to request time on PMs' calendars to complete Introductory Calls.  This Learning Center article outlines how the tool works and includes links to additional supports from iMentor's Technology Solutions team.   

Setting Short and Long-Term Completion Goals

Each PM's Program Launch season experience will look slightly different based on their partner school.  This one-pager outlines the rationale for and importance of setting a target date, as well as interim goals, for the completion of standardized support calls with mentors.

Documenting the Call

This resource provides step-by-step instructions for documenting Mentor Introductory Calls on the iMentor Platform.  

Tracking Toward Completion

PMs will use the Support Summary tab of the High School Implementation Dashboard known as Pi Dash to manage toward completion of Mentor Introductory Calls.  This resource explains how to read the data visualized on this tab.  PMs' goal is to fill the Mentor Fall Touch Point bar to 100%.  If desired, PMs can track their progress in scheduling and completing calls using the Custom Export feature of the iMentor Platform to generate a list of their mentors and adding a column in the export to make note of whether a mentor has scheduled or completed a call.
