Program Managers will want to add their mentee's and mentor's phone numbers to their phones so they can easily text them and send out mass texts.
To do this, first download a .csv (Excel) file of the contacts you want to add from the User Management page on the Platform. Read through how to do so here: Viewing and downloading contact Info.
Adding contacts to Phone
This is a multi-step process involving a few different programs, so let's dive in! You'll use your phone, Excel, and Outlook to get the contacts added.
- First, Connect your Microsoft Outlook account on your phone. Go to Settings > Passwords and Accounts > Add Account > Microsoft Exchange (Note that you have to select Exchange, NOT Outlook.com). You can also download the Outlook app found here.
- Once the account is added, click into it to edit the settings. Toggle the "Contacts" option so that it's on. Next, go to Outlook on your computer.
Open the Applications Launcher on the top left and click People.
Click Manage > Import contacts.
Click Browse.
Select the CSV file, then click Open.
In the Import contacts dialog box, click Import.
Your contacts are uploaded and imported to your Outlook.com email account.
When the process is finished, click Close. You'll find the new contacts in your Outlook address book.
