Program Managers (PMs) are charged with providing individualized support to the pairs on their caseload to help them build a strong personal relationship and work collaboratively toward mentees’ post-secondary goals. The most effective method for ensuring pair support is targeted and that PMs’ support efforts are evenly distributed is the development of “focus lists.” A focus lists is group of mentees/mentors/pairs that PMs identify (typically using quantitative or qualitative data) to provide a specific type of targeted support over a short period of time. This workshop is designed to provide space for PMs to develop their focus list skills.
- If you are unfamiliar with the Focus Finder, take a few minutes to read this short explanation of what it is and how it works.
