By the end of each year, regions establish goals for the percentage of pairs that meet our individual online engagement benchmark. This is a long-term goal, and while PMs review trends toward this goal, their shorter term focus of control exists each week as they manage mentees and mentors toward completion of the current lesson. The tool PMs use to work toward the weekly short-term goal is called Snapshot and this article outlines some best practices for leveraging it to manage pair lesson engagement.
While we believe that all students can benefit from writing to their mentors, some students can show resistance to this ask. Included are some common things heard by Program Managers in the classroom and how best to respond to mentees.
