Along with in-person announcements, it's important to alert all your mentors (and other community stakeholders) to the launch of your Crowdrise campaign over email. In addition to a launch email, sending reminder emails periodically can help keep the campaign at the top of mind for mentors. Below, you'll find some examples of emails that iMentor has sent to mentors in the past in an effort to increase Crowdrise participation. Along with text similar to what you see below, you can also include an image of pairs or a mentor2.0 event in your email.
Campaign Launch Emails
EXAMPLE #1:
SUBJECT: Your challenge: Stand with our students
Dear mentors,
Now, more than ever, we need to show our students that there are countless people across the country who care deeply about them, stand with them and who will do whatever it takes to help them achieve their ambitions.
The iMentor Challenge is your chance to do just that. It's a community-driven crowdfunding campaign powered by the people who know iMentor best: you, our mentors. And, as a mentor, what you are doing is impressive and important -- in ways you might not even realize.
Making a Crowdrise page is an easy way to share your mentoroing story and raise crucial dollars to connect even more students with mentors. When we meet our fundraising goal, we'll be able to support three hundred more students.
Get started today at Crowdrise. Thanks as always for all that you do!

EXAMPLE #2:
SUBJECT: Your challenge: Help build the momentum!
Dear mentors,
At iMentor we believe in the power of long-term, personal relationships to help students succeeed. This year, iMentor launched it's Bay Area region where we are working with 270 students. Please join us in building the momentum to help more students.
The iMentor Challege is your chance to do just that. With this campaign, you can share your story and your inspiration for supporting iMentor. We are brand new in the Bay Area! As we share more stories, more people will get involved and build momentum.
For our mentors, this is your chance to introduce iMentor to the people who care about you. Because they care about you, they are more likely to care about your work with iMentor and all of our great students.
Making a Crowdrise page is easy and takes about six minutes. You don't even have to write your whole story when you make the page, you can always come back and add more to it. Once you join, we will send you tips and sample communications, too.
Edward Norton, a longtime supporter of iMentor, is inspired by you and wanted to share why your stories matter. We hope you're inspired and feeling excited! The momentum begins TODAY and runs through April 30th. Make your page by clicking here.

Campaign Reminder Emails
EXAMPLE #1:
SUBJECT: Help us support our students
Dear mentors,
We are making great progress sharing the stories from our community and raising awareness and money for our cause. You and your fellow mentors have already raised $8,000 to help provide more students with mentors. Now is the time to join in and help us reach our $15,000 goal!
We know crowdfunding isn't for everyone, but you can help us by just making a direct donation to the campaign here. Whether it's $10, $50 or $500, every dollar will get us closer to our goal and have a direct impact on our ability to serve more students and to recruit more mentors next year.
Thank you for being a champion for your student. We hope you will join us in helping to champion more students by donating today!

EXAMPLE #1:
SUBJECT: This is it. Last chance.
Dear mentors,
These are the facts:
- 1 in 5 NYC high school students will graduate from college
- 450 students work with 1 high school counselor
- It costs $1000 to support 1 mentee-mentor pair
- $197,000 raised by 198 mentors in the last 4 weeks
- 197 iMentor pairs supported, 103 more to go
If every person gave $35 dollars then we'd be able to reach our goal of supporting 300 more students next year. We're 67% there. 24 hours left. The Challenge ends tomorrow.
Every dollar counts. Donate securely here: iMentor Challenge 2017
You're the best. Thanks for being part of the movement to make college a reality for all.
